OK, I have a really old walker turner 10" contractor saw that is solid cat iron, even the base. Problem is it is only meant to have a 1/2 or 3/4 hp motor on it. The guy I got it from put on a 2hp motor. That may have been fine for a weekend saw, but my use killed it. Now the cheap motor is dead and the bearings are going out. Fence is the old jet lock(not very good) and table could use some tlc. Should I waste my time trying to fix it or just pony up for a newer one that is meant to have a 3+ hp motor? _________________ So happy I could puke |

Hmmmm
May be time to look for a good Powermatic or somethning then.
With all the shop closings and New sawstops out there, you could probably find a good deal on one. Or a Griz 1023 _________________ Have a nice day!! |
